Here are instructions for washing your new handmade hat.
You have a couple of options for washing;
Option 1:
- hand wash in tepid water with a touch of laundry soap or even a dab of dish soap. (Just make sure you dissolve your soap in the water before putting your hat in. )
- gently clean any smudges with your fingers (or very very lightly with a soft toothbrush)
- if needed you can soak in the soapy water for a few minutes.
- rinse with more tepid water until water runs clear and soap is all gone.
- very very gently squeeze as much water as you can from the hat.
Option 2;
- wash in a hand wash or gentle delicate cycle. (Washes great with your cozy wool socks! )
For drying,
I recommend drying the hat flat. I usually place mine on a folded towel, to soak up any drips.(usually helps it dry a little faster too!
Your hat will last so much longer if you Do Not put it in the dryer!!!
